Job Description
The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting daily yard and office operations by managing receiving documentation and tracking incoming and outgoing waste shipments. This position serves as a key administrative support function for logistics, dispatch, and yard coordination, ensuring accurate records, timely data entry, and continuity of operations. Attention to detail, organization, and consistency are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Receive and manage documents related to waste intake.Track and log trailers as they come in and out of the yard.Perform basic data entry for shipments and receipts.Create and maintain backup spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel in case of software system failures.Support administrative tasks related to logistics and dispatch.Essential Skills
At least 1 year of administrative experience.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry and spreadsheet management.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in dispatching is preferred.Logistics experience is an advantage.Work Environment
The position is based in a small office setting with individual cubicles and a team of 10 people. The office offers an environmentally friendly atmosphere with a flexible work schedule. You will report to the office manager.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cordova, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
