Administrative Assistant
Hiring for an Administrative Assistant in Wallingford! Job Description A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support warehouse operations during a temporary leave coverage. This role is ideal for a candidate with prior administrative experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. The Administrative Assistant will partner closely with warehouse leadership to ensure smooth daily operations, accurate data entry, and timely order processing. Responsibilities + Utilize the warehouse management system (P-2) and Excel to support daily operations. + Perform data entry, including processing paperwork and posting orders prior to end of day. + Assist with inventory counts, including cycle and spot counts. + Open and close order windows and support order system shutdowns as needed. + Support customer feedback issues and assist with order-related inquiries. + Maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail. + Coordinate closely with warehouse managers and supervisors to support operational needs. + Manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven warehouse environment. Essential Skills + Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant in a warehouse or distribution center environment. + Strong Excel skills and experience working with warehouse management systems. + Background in data entry, customer support, and administrative functions. + Highly organized with strong attention to detail. + Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in food-related environments is a plus, but not required. Work Environment The role is based in an office/warehouse setting with a welcoming and inclusive culture. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with 8-hour days starting at 6:00 AM and ending at 4:00 PM, offering flexibility based on operational demands. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
