Description
We are looking for a temporary Administrative Assistant to support various campus-based initiatives and programs at Mare Island, California. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to community wellness efforts while managing essential administrative tasks. This role will last through the end of the year.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for community wellness modules, assisting students, faculty, and staff with program participation.
• Facilitate the recruitment, hiring, and oversight of student peer educators involved in the Community Wellness program.
• Coordinate schedules and attendance for student leaders participating in wellness modules, ensuring eligibility for program incentives.
• Manage the operations of a campus food pantry, including maintaining distribution records and promoting its services.
• Partner with local food banks to organize and oversee food delivery services.
• Prepare and submit federal reports and budget updates to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and create detailed reports as needed for program tracking and auditing purposes.
• Answer inbound calls, handle receptionist duties, and assist with general office operations.
• Perform data entry tasks to support the organization of program-related information.

Requirements • Proven experience in administrative roles, including receptionist duties and office management.
• Proficiency in data entry and creating detailed reports.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and external partners.
• Familiarity with coordinating events or programs in a community or educational setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience in managing budgets and submitting compliance reports is preferred.
