Administrative Assistant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Oberlin, Ohio. This position requires someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to efficiently manage administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. As part of a dynamic university setting, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations while ensuring seamless coordination of meetings and events. Responsibilities: • Organize and maintain schedules, ensuring all meetings and appointments are properly planned. • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth office operations, including handling correspondence and documentation. • Plan and execute events, coordinating logistics and managing multiple elements to guarantee success. • Facilitate meeting arrangements by preparing materials, booking venues, and confirming attendance. • Coordinate multiple aspects of meetings, including catering, technology setup, and follow-up actions. • Maintain accurate records and files to support efficient retrieval and reporting. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries and provide assistance. • Assist in creating reports and presentations using Microsoft Office tools. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all administrative tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or similar role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to coordinate and plan events with attention to detail. • Familiarity with scheduling and meeting arrangements. • Must be vaccinated and able to work onsite. • All candidates are required to complete necessary pre-employment assessments, with potential to start pending completion.
