**Your Opportunity**
We are currently seeking an Administrative Specialist in our Baton Rouge, LA office to provide high level administrative assistance for the office and project teams. As an integral member of the administrative team, this position performs various support services. This role primarily focuses on providing support to the staff and project teams and serving as back-up to other office administrative staff.
As the face and voice of Stantec, the successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in a similar role, have a high degree of professionalism and communication skills, possess superior client services skills, have superior organizational skills with the ability to focus on multiple tasks and changing priorities, and have a mature approach and confidence in dealing with a wide range of clients.
This is a full-time in-office position, Monday through Friday workweek.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Serve as a back-up to other office administrative staff.
+ Organize and schedule meetings and appointments, book meeting rooms, handle special requests.
+ Perform clerical tasks including data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning etc.
+ Perform other administrative duties as required.
+ Run office errands whenever necessary.
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills.
+ Flexible and able to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
+ Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.
+ Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with minimal guidance.
+ Requires skills in using computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet navigation, e-mail, and calendars.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn and adapt to new programs and processes.
+ Be able to lift 50 pounds (office supplies, cases of paper).
**Education and Experience**
Two or more years' administrative assistant experience.
Administrative experience within Architecture/Engineering/Construction preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
