EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: * Serve as executive assistant to the Executive Staff member in the LED Marketing Division and other executives within LED’s leadership team. * Exercise a high degree of independent judgement and initiative in determining the approach or appropriate action regarding routine, non-routine and complex matters. * Coordinate travel appointments and engagements; make travel arrangements and prepare the related paperwork pre- and post-travel event; assist other department directors/managers, as needed, with travel, conferences, and memberships. Maintain calendar of staff travel schedules. * Assist in the preparation and organization of materials for meetings, committee hearings, etc. Distribute information obtained at meetings to the appropriate officials. * Schedule appointments and coordinate schedules within and outside of the department with LED staff, economic development partners, industry, stakeholders, and others; send calendar invites and updates for meeting; arrange logistics; serve as liaison with attendees; develop agenda, compile and prepare briefing summaries ahead of meeting; conduct appropriate follow up, such as entering contact information from business cards and scheduling follow-up meetings; set up meeting space (e.g. handouts, slideshow presentations) Louisiana is a State As a Model Employer (SAME) that supports the recruitment, hiring, and retention of individuals with disabilities.
