LSU Shreveport is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position ofAdministrative Assistant 2in theComputer Science Department. This role provides essential clerical and administrative support to faculty, staff, and students, helping to ensure the department runs efficiently. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills who enjoys working in a collaborative academic setting.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Provides accurate and quality information via phone, email, social media and in office for former, current/prospective students and the public. Assists students, faculty and staff daily. Directs departmental student workers as needed.
+ Performs traditional administrative functions such as records management, events scheduling, property control, purchasing & organization, safety, maintaining the CS Department &Chair's calendars and any other duties assigned to support faculty and staff.
+ Compiles and analyzes information from various sources to prepare specialized reports, such as ABET Accreditation, as requested.
+ Prepares requisitions for the purchase of supplies by entering information into the automated system. Alerts supervisor to approve documents in the system. Verifies receipt of supplies and completes receiving process through automated system.
