ABM Industries is seeking an Administrative Assistant, Payroll to support our Operations Team at Miami Internation Airport. This role is essential to ensuring accurate timekeeping, efficient reporting, and responding to inquiries for approximately 300 team members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, understands time and attendance systems, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, unionized environment. Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) is required.
This role is 5 days/week onsite with Sun/Mon as required days (payroll closes on Mon). Days off could be: Tue/Wed, Wed/Thu, Thu/Fri, or Fri/Sat.
Essential Duties
Make timely corrections in the timekeeping system to ensure payroll accuracy. Generate and analyze operational and payroll-related reports. Respond to team member inquiries regarding timekeeping, payroll, and general administrative matters. Maintain organized records and documentation in compliance with statutory and union requirements. Assist with scheduling and responding to shift callouts. Collaborate with HR, Payroll and operations to ensure smooth daily operations. Serve as support for the employee badging process.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required Entry-level candidates welcome; prior experience in administrative support, timekeeping, or payroll system preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic office software Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Prefer familiarity with statutory labor requirements and union environments
Pay: $20/hour–$24/hour
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
