Admin Officer - (HMP Norwich)

Location: HMP Norwich - Young Offender Institution
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 37 hours per week
Pay: Weekly

Our public sector based client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Admin Officer to join their team within the Young Offender Institution (YOI) unit at HMP Norwich. This is a full-time, temporary position. The role is fully office-based and plays an essential part in supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the YOI unit.

Key Responsibilities

As an Admin Officer in the YOI unit, you will:

Provide general administrative support to staff and managementMaintain accurate records and an organised filing systemRespond to queries relating to area of work, redirecting where required.Handle internal and external queries, escalating or redirecting where necessarySupport operational efficiency within the unit through reliable administrative assistance

Requirements

Prior administrative experience or strong transferrable office-based skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesWillingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including:A valid passportProof of addressProof of National Insurance numberEnhanced DBS clearanceCompletion of a three-year referencing process
