We are seeking an experienced Admin & Logistics Officer to join our client in Papua New Guinea for a full-time contract position. This role will be responsible for managing all onboarding, travel, and training for our Processing & Operations Projects, as well as overseeing material and equipment movement and logistics.
Role Overview
Manage all onboarding for client and Contractor personnel, including travel, inductions, and training records. Coordinate and arrange travel to and from the project site. Ensure all necessary inductions are completed and communicated in advance. Maintain accurate registers for project crews, including roster, training, and site access. Provide confirmations of all bookings to Contractors and Vendors. Monitor site access to ensure it does not expire. Assist in developing project progress reports. Raise purchase orders and requisitions for warehouse materials on behalf of the project team. Monitor and track supplier delivery dates. Work closely with Warehouse and Supply to arrange movements of materials and storage locations. Understand logistics freight routes and challenges and recommend solutions for smooth transfer of items. Engage with Contractors to arrange incoming and outgoing containers, materials, and equipment. Maintain accurate registers and reports for invoice payment status, project procurement packages, and expediting. Develop and maintain a continuous improvement program. Create and manage expediting registers and reports. Provide critical construction and support assistance as directed by the business.Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in PNG Supply and Logistics roles. Minimum 3 years of experience in administration roles. 5-7 years of experience within the mining industry. Experience working in a project environment. Networking skills to understand upcoming projects and equipment/critical deliveries required. Prior experience with Pronto System or similar ERP. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills. Good understanding of logistics, freight routes, and warehousing functions. Familiarity with customs processes and container management. Ability to work autonomously and independently. Attention to detail and accuracy. Logical and deductive reasoning skills. Effective time management and prioritization abilities.Education & Experience
