Omission and/or falsification of information provided in your application will result in your removal from consideration for employment, appointment, or promotion.  The Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant 1 at our Northern Regional Office in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. The person in this position performs a wide variety of secretarial functions in support of the Northern Regional Manager and regional programs. The individual is the primary contact for general office administration, ensuring that regional staff have the support they need to perform their jobs effectively. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, with excellent attention to detail, and able to work well in a team environment. Example of Duties · Assist with contested case activity management; Scan and profile documents, schedule prehearing and status conferences, and send correspondence · Manage documents related to water right application approvals, orders, voids, and withdrawals; Process and mail documents, maintain archive files, scan and stamp documents · Manage the legal notification process for water right applications; Prepare advertisements, distribute legal notices and letters, scan and label applications, and coordinate with newspaper editors · Maintain water rights files and monitor schedules for filing in the vault · Perform general office and clerical support services for regional staff; Schedule office day rotations, maintain office supplies and equipment, and coordinate building facility services · Respond to customer inquiries over the phone and in person regarding water right processing and IDWR programs · Prepare bank deposits Minimum Qualifications · Good knowledge of office support functions including: o Word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents and reception o Gathering and compiling data o Balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects Minimum Qualification Specialty · Good knowledge of Microsoft Office · Experience interpreting, applying, and explaining complex information Preferred Qualifications · Some knowledge of state and local government operations and structure Benefits The State of Idaho offers a robust total compensation package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance; PERSI retirement benefits; paid sick, vacation, and parental leave; and 11 paid holidays per year.
