Job Description
The Customs Release & Entry Specialist is responsible for managing the release and confirmation process for international import transactions arriving via multiple modes of transportation. This includes reviewing and processing U.S. Customs documentation, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and supporting client needs by filing timely and accurate Customs Declarations/Entries. The role requires strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities.
Job Responsibilities
Review invoices, manifests, and other supporting documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company policies.
Accurately enter commercial information into the Customs operating system.
Obtain missing or required documentation by contacting clients when necessary.
Verify documentation for entry accuracy and rating compliance.
Prepare and submit Customs Declarations/Entries to U.S. Customs.
Provide customer service and support via telephone and email.
Create and submit entry data reports to management and clients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Ability to use vision, adjust focus, and work on a standard computer screen.
May require extended periods of sitting or standing, and the use of standard office equipment.
Must be able to work on-site at the assigned location.

High accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of heavy data entry experience.
2–3 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry performing customs clearance work or similar duties supporting the customs clearance process.
