Job Description
The Department of Natural Sciences, in the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks applications from qualified candidates for a part-time non-tenure track position in Biology. We seek candidates with specializations in any of the following areas: Biostatistics (using R-Studio), Cellular & Molecular Biology, Organismal Biology, and/or Biology (STEM) Education. Specifically, we seek candidates to teach one or more of the following lecture courses and when applicable, their associated laboratory courses: General Biology I & II for majors, Life Sciences I & II for non-majors, Biostatistics labs using R-studio. All courses are offered in a Face-to-Face setting. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a safe environment for instruction and learning in a laboratory setting.
Salary: 3-hour lecture courses = $3000, 3-hour laboratory = $2000
Required Education and Experience:
+ Master’s degree in Biology or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.
+ Must have 18 graduate credit hours in related area.
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Experience teaching undergraduates or AP biology students.
+ Experience working with all students from different backgrounds and settings.
+ Completed Ph.D. in Biology or related field.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
+ Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently.
+ Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
