Three (3) years of full time, in field work/teaching experience in education, business, industry and/or military environments within the past seven years is required. Applicant must have a registered professional nurse licensure in the State of Georgia. Must possess and maintain appropriate professional credentials for or related to LPN instruction. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience at the post-secondary level; active participation in appropriate professional/occupational organizations; excellent human relations skills; computer skills and experience; excellent written and verbal communications skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities: • Clinical Instruction: o Provide direct clinical supervision up to 29 hours per week and instruction to nursing students in a variety of clinical settings. o Assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to ensure clinical competency and development. o Monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with faculty to develop appropriate intervention strategies. • Student Support & Mentorship: o Foster a positive learning environment that supports the professional growth of students. o Serve as a mentor and role model, guiding students in ethical decision-making and patient- centered care. o Provide individualized assistance to students, including additional support for students struggling to meet clinical objectives. • Clinical Planning & Coordination: o Assist in the preparation and organization of clinical learning experiences. o Ensure that clinical sites are compliant with program standards and regulations. o Coordinate with healthcare facility staff to facilitate student placement and orientation. • Evaluation & Reporting: o Conduct regular evaluations of student performance in the clinical setting. o Complete documentation and provide timely feedback on student performance, including written evaluations and progress reports. • Collaboration & Professional Development: o Collaborate with nursing faculty and healthcare facility personnel to enhance the clinical learning environment. o Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of nursing best practices. o Contribute to curriculum development and the enhancement of clinical learning materials and resources. Other duties as assigned. SALARY: This is a part-time position without insurance benefits; work hours will not exceed 29 per week. Hourly rate is commensurate with education and work experience. SPECIAL NOTES: It shall be a condition of employment to submit to a background investigation. Offers of employment shall be conditional pending the result of the background investigation.
