Full Time Days

Primary Function

Responsible for delivery of high quality services and the functioning of the multidisciplinary team through the provision of specific treatment modalities.   Under the direction and supervision of the Manager, assumes responsibility for the case management of those clients assigned by the manager.    This includes assessments, treatment planning, clinical treatment, group therapy, intensive outpatient treatment,  case review, discharge planning and crisis intervention and other duties as assigned. 

               

Essential Functions

Case management of clients to included assessment, treatment planning, case review, discharge planning and  crisis interventionDirect services to include individual, group, urinalysis screening, and continuing care for chemical dependent and nicotine dependent clientsOngoing follow-up and data collection for clients discharged from the programProvide accurate and timely documentation of servicesUtilization review of assigned clientsProvide education to community and other team members regarding substance abuse, chemical dependency and tobacco dependencyMaintain patient safety standards, departmental policies and procedures, and performance improvement standardsOther duties as assignedEach employee utilized in positions which are responsible for direct care or supervision of children or adolescents shall be at least eighteen years of age.Any prospective employee, volunteer or student intern shall not have pled guilty to nor been convicted of any of the offenses listed in paragraph (I) of rule 5101:2-5-09 of the Administrative Code. A prospective employee, adult volunteer or student intern convicted of or who has pleaded guilty to an offense listed in paragraph (I) of rule 5101:2-5-09 of the Administrative Code maybe hired by a provider if the conditions as provided in paragraph (H) of rule5102:2-5-09 of the Administrative Code have been met.  Criminal record background checks on employees, volunteers and student interns are conducted by the bureau of criminal identification and investigation (BCII),or any other state or federal agency designated by the director, and, if the prospective employee does not demonstrate that they have been a resident of Ohio for the preceding five years, by the federal bureau of investigation (FBThis document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Employees may be required to perform other job related duties as required by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation.

Licensing/Certification 

Required to have one of the following:  

Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III)

Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)

Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor – Clinical Supervisor (LICDC-CS)  

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (required if employed in Virginia)  

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with training Supervision (LPCC-S) (preferred)

Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) (preferred)                       

Education 

Bachelors Degree in Behavior Science or Arts, or other related field (required)

Masters Degree in Behavioral Health or related field (preferred) 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:

Previous experience in the treatment of chemical dependency

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Prior knowledge and experience with service line, computer, electronic medical records
