Position Overview: + Location: California (specific site details provided during interview) + Start Date: ASAP + End Date: June 9, 2026 + Schedule: Monday–Friday + Hours: 37.5/week + Modality: In-person + Openings: 1 Classroom Details: + Grade Level: K-8 + Caseload: To be determined Key Responsibilities: + Develop and implement specialized physical education programs for students with motor domain needs + Motivate students to build skills, confidence, and independence + Collaborate with school teams to create a safe and inclusive learning environment + Use diverse instructional techniques tailored to individual student abilities Minimum Requirements: + California credential (Single Subject PE, Multiple Subject, or Education Specialist) + Adapted Physical Education (APE) authorization or ability to obtain + Three years of teaching experience (preferred) + Experience working with special needs students in classroom or group settings (preferred) + Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills + Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
