Principal Responsibilities
Leadership Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of actuarial analysts, ensuring high-quality output and professional growthReview and validate the work of Senior Actuarial Analysts, ensuring actuarial models, reports, and calculations meet professional and regulatory standardsProvide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members on actuarial methodologies, IFRS 17, and financial reporting practicesManage workflow and resource allocation within the team to ensure timely delivery of key financial and regulatory reportsFinancial Reporting Reserving
Oversee actuarial reserving processes, including best estimate liability calculations, risk adjustment, and contractual service margin (CSM) computations under IFRS 17Ensure accurate and timely quarterly and annual reserving, financial statement disclosures, and regulatory submissionsReview and enhance actuarial models used for financial reporting, ensuring they align with best practices and industry developmentsCollaborate with finance teams to align actuarial outputs with accounting and financial reporting standardsRisk Management Business Support
