About the Role
Lead the actuarial valuation and financial reporting processes under IFRS 17 and RBC frameworks. Deliver actionable insights through financial KPIs and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making. Drive actuarial governance, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance Blue Cross’s financial strength and support AIA’s growth strategy in Hong Kong.Roles and Responsibilities:
Actuarial Valuation & Reporting
Lead the preparation and delivery of IFRS 17 and RBC reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.Conduct in-depth variance analysis and identify key financial drivers.Manage auditor engagements and ensure alignment with Group reporting standards.Strategic Financial Management
Evaluate financial impacts of assumption changes and business strategies.Provide insights to support financial planning and risk management.Governance & Controls
Establish and maintain robust actuarial controls and documentation standards.Ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal and external requirements.Promote best practices in actuarial modeling and reporting.Process Improvement & Innovation
Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process enhancement.Lead initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and data quality.Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor junior actuarial staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Claims, Underwriting, Sales, and Health Provision.Represent the actuarial function in strategic projects and external engagements.Job Requirements:
University degree in Actuarial Science or related fieldMinimum 7 years of relevant actuarial experienceFellow of a recognized actuarial bodyStrong knowledge of general insurance, IFRS 17, and HKRBCProficiency in actuarial systems (e.g., SAS sub-ledger) and MS OfficeExcellent communication skills in English and ChineseOthers:
