Per Diem
The Activities Specialist is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of recreational activities . All activity programs will be designed to be meaningful as well as recreational and should be carried out in a manner that ensures participant dignity, as well as sense of usefulness to self and the larger community. The Activities Specialist acts as team leader for the Activities Assistant.
Must be mentally alert and have the ability to effectively plan and organize assignments in the most efficient manner. Must be flexible, adaptable, and be able to function in stressful situations.Must have computer skills, including knowledge of Internet, Windows, database and word processing (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.)Must have knowledge of a function planning and setup through formal training.Requirements:
At least one year experience working with the frail elderly population in required
Associates or Bachelor's in therapeutic recreation/related field is preferred.
Pay Range: :$20.20 - $27.05
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
