Activation Team Member - PRN
The Activation Team Member (PRN) coordinates on-site activities associated with the activation of newly acquired or constructed facilities, major expansions or facility closures. Handles a range of activation responsibilities including financial management, human resources support, recruitment, procurement, and contract management. Serves as a project manager, coordinating activities while calling on facility and FSC functional specialists as required. Collaborates with the facility management and staff with the goal of providing a smooth transition to the facility leadership, as the activation team phases out of the location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements
+ Creates a comprehensive task list suited to each project and contract. Completes or assigns tasks as appropriate. Monitors task completion and compliance with policy and/or contractual requirements.
+ Coordinates with the Real Estate department staff to ensure that construction activities are on track with operational task assignments and timelines.
+ Ensures that systems, services and processes are established for activations and expansions or discontinued as scheduled for de-activations.
+ Identifies issues or barriers to task completion. Collaborate with on-site staff to resolve issues and maintain progress.
+ Provides informal briefings and weekly progress reports to facility management, and Operations senior management.Escalates issues that cannot be resolved locally to the appropriate resource.
+ Effectively communicates with facility and FSC staff on a regular basis to resolve issues that are related to the activation, expansion or de-activation process.
+ Interacts with outside agencies such as customers, inspectors, regulatory agencies and employment offices.
+ Identifies the need and availability of temporary office space, furniture or storage facilities.Obtains quotes and estimates for services.
+ Monitors expenses against budgeted funds and reports any areas of discrepancy or concern.
+ Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
