The Acting Sales Consultant serves in a temporary capacity to provide coverage when a Sales Consultant is unavailable. This role ensures continuity in guest service, sales performance, and team support. The Acting Sales Consultant is expected to uphold the same standards of excellence in guest service, product knowledge, and team leadership as a permanent Sales Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional guest service by making personalized wine and spirits recommendations.Support and guide Team Members in enhancing their product knowledge and service skills.Maintain a welcoming and safe store environment for guests and team members.Lead product education efforts and mentor the Assistant Sales Consultant.Stay current on company policies, training, and product knowledge to ensure compliance and a high-quality guest experience.Assist with store operations including restocking, merchandising, and maintaining accurate pricing.Participate in company-sponsored training, offsite meetings, resets, remodels, and wine tastings as needed.Operate the Point-of-Sale system accurately, including handling cash and applying discounts.Support inventory management through truck deliveries and stockroom organization.Ensure Responsible Vendor compliance when handling alcohol and tobacco sales.Maintain cleanliness of the store and surrounding areas.Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.

Note:
This is a temporary role designed to provide interim support in the Sales Consultant position. Duration of the assignment may vary based on business needs.
