We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and forward-thinking Deputy Headteacher.
You will need to be prepared for hard work and to lead your colleagues in many whole school initiatives.
Your role will be challenging but rewarding and exciting.
We are seeking to appoint an Acting Deputy Headteacher for our friendly, successful school, to commence in September 2025 for a 1-year period to back-fill for our current Deputy Headteacher, who will be Acting Headteacher during this time. The role will include a 2-day teaching commitment in KS1 and being KS1 leader.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide strong, focused leadership and management.
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner and will have influenced the quality of teaching and learning in their current post.
- Have excellent curriculum knowledge across KS1 and EYFS.
- Inspire and lead staff to deliver high quality teaching and learning for children of all abilities.
- Be warm, good humoured and able to communicate and engage effectively with children, staff, families, Governors and the wider community.
- Show a strong commitment to our school vision and values, being a role model for others.
- Have a positive, solution-seeking attitude.
- Inspire children and staff to be the best they can be.
- Have high expectations of themselves and others.
- Demonstrate a commitment to supporting workload reduction and staff well-being.
- Be able to work under your own initiative and work well as part of a team.
- Be well organised, have the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills.
