What You'll Do
Provide community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and/or adults
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
Collaborate with clients, families, and stakeholders to support individualized care
Apply strengths-based approaches and practices such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care
Facilitate behavioral interventions and group sessions aligned with treatment goals
Coordinate care with schools, service providers, and community organizations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
Build relationships with key stakeholders including parents, teachers, and counselors
[ACT/ACT TAY/IMPART Only] Demonstrate knowledge of the ACT model and services
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Psychology, Social Work, or related human services field
Bachelor’s in unrelated field + 2 years of related experience
Four-year combination of higher education + 2 years of related experience
Associate’s of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support
Four years of qualifying experience*
*Qualifying experience includes direct service delivery to individuals with mental health, substance use, or developmental disabilities, including rehabilitation, coping skills training, employment support, and community integration.
Illinois-Specific Requirements
High school diploma + 1 year of social services experience (RSA designation per IL Admin Code Part 132 Section 132.25)
Preferred: Mental Health Professional as defined in IL Admin Code Part 132 Section 132.25
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods
Familiarity with community resources and legal procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and coordinate services effectively
Self-motivated and responsive to supervision
Skilled in building relationships with youth and families
