Job Summary:

To polish and remove scratches, chips and defects from acrylic windows, side glasses and windshields.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform duties necessary to remove surface scratches, chips and defects from acrylic windows using polishing compounds, fine abrasive, sandpaper and polishing cloths.

• Use simple hand tools such as scrapers to remove paint, sealer, tape and other foreign materials from acrylic surfaces. Apply cleaning agents and polishing compounds to restore lustre and provide surfaces which are free from distortion.

• Use small power tools for sanding polishing as necessary.

• Apply protective covering to windows, windshields, side glasses and other acrylic surfaces to prevent surface damage and dirt.

• Responsible only for own work.

• Perform other related duties as required such as regular sheet metal or installation duties when not otherwise occupied with above.

Education:
Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Job
duties require specialized training in acrylic rework procedures through Cessna approved program.

Experience:
Over three months metal, paint, furniture refinishing or directly related experience.

Working Conditions:
Somewhat disagreeable due to uncomfortable working positions.
