Your New Role…

We are looking for an Acquisitions & Rights Coordinator who will support the Programming and Acquisition team across the EMEA region. In this role, you will collaborate with the Acquisitions & Rights team to establish key objectives and priorities, and coordinate projects to meet milestones and deadlines. You will also work closely with key stakeholders across the business, collect and manage benchmarks and rights overviews, as well as prepare briefing documents.

Your Role Accountabilities… 

Drive and execute coordination across the teams and lead within the Acquisition and rights team, with a primary focus on organizing overviews, set benchmark documents, align processes.

Collaborate with EMEA Programming & Acquisitions  team to establish key objectives and priorities. Organize opportunities, rights alignment, benchmarking, communication ensuring best practices and service coherence across EMEA. 

Support management of identified projects across EMEA Acquisitions as required, ensuring internal administration of key projects as well as communication within team and across relevant intercompany teams and stakeholders. 

Develop recurring business performance reports and presentations to senior stakeholders, as well as prepare, set up, collect, track, distribute and archive approval documents and other key documentation. 

Summarize and analyze commercial agreements and discussions as part of approvals, benchmarking and other processes/documentation. 

Prepare briefing documents for SVP Programming & Acquisitions covering competitors, partners, individual profiles and more. 

Support the EMEA Acquisition & Rights team in planning for key meetings including agenda setting, coordination, presentation development, note-taking etc.  

Liaise with internal staff at all levels on behalf of the EMEA Programming & Acquisitions team when required.  

Support the Acquisition budget/forecast process if needed, as well as support financial deal analysis. 

Setting up rights and content overviews and making sure they are kept up to date and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, contract obligations and internal content benchmarks. 

Work closely with the Acquisitions and Rights Management teams across Europe, supporting different projects as part of the day to day as well as any expansion to new markets as needed. 

As part of a dedicated Team there will also be other ad-hoc tasks and periodic projects where support is required and expected

 

Qualifications & Experience 

Minimum 5 years current working experience in a very similar position, in an international media company, with focus on pan-European or multi-territory rights 

Passionate about content! 

Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to details, while maintaining strategic overview. 

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders including staff, Leadership members and external partners. Team player at heart without prestige, and with collaborative and inclusive approach. 

Proficient in written and verbal communication at an expert level, with the ability to ask clarifying questions and collaborate with senior management, internal, and external clients.  

Proactive and can prioritize and re-prioritize (time management), in a dynamic environment.  

Experience in commercial deal analysis and can read, interpret commercial agreements. 

Experience in financial modeling of commercial terms. 

Experience of presenting materials for senior management in an array of Microsoft office suites including Word and PowerPoint  

Experience in project and stakeholder management  

Pro-active, able, and willing to support key projects.   

Strong interpersonal and communication skills – authoritative and confident but able to work with sensitivity and diplomacy.  

Advanced level of both written and spoken English. 

Pro-active with an ability to think ahead 

Ability to multitask across a wide range of different projects, and an agile attitude in quickly moving company 

Enjoy working in a fast-paced result driven environment  

Self-reliable/motivated with a positive outlook
