Job Title: Part- Time Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing customer invoices, credit memos, and cash applications. You will ensure timely resolution of short payments and deductions, conduct daily collection activities, and maintain accurate customer master data. This role involves collaborating with various departments to support financial audits and ensure compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

Generate, review, and issue customer invoices and credit memos, ensuring proper cash application.Conduct daily collection activities on past-due invoices, including follow-ups and dispute resolution.Proactively contact customers regarding upcoming due dates and payment expectations.Prepare and issue customer statements and collection notices regularly.Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer master data, including payment terms and credit limits.Submit accurate accounts receivable aging and collections data to third-party reporting portals.Monitor receivable eligibility and flag items affecting borrowing base availability.Collaborate to resolve ineligible receivables and support borrowing base reviews.Reconcile the accounts receivable subledger to the general ledger at month-end.Ensure invoices comply with revenue recognition policies.Assist with month-end close activities and accounts receivable analysis.Support annual financial and lender audits with documentation and explanations.Adhere to company accounting policies and internal controls.Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Staff Accountants, Sales, and Operations teams.Provide cross-functional coverage during month-end close and high workload periods.Execute departmental work plans aligned with company policies and financial goals.Liaise with customers, suppliers, and third parties to resolve issues.Attend and participate in meetings, reporting on key performance metrics.Maintain accurate company records and complete required forms and reports.Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Uphold company policies while representing the organization’s mission and values.Maintain regular attendance and meet scheduling and overtime requirements.Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

Accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, credit2+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable roleExperience in a manufacturing company or product-driven industry

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperience working in a manufacturing or B2B environment preferredPrior exposure to lender reporting, borrowing bases, or audit support is a plusUnderstanding of trade terminology and nomenclature

Work Environment

This part-time position offers a flexible schedule from 8am to 1pm, Monday through Friday, working roughly 25-28 hours per week on-site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
