Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer credits and rebates, performing cash applications, and handling monthly deductions and problem invoices. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and maintaining healthy relationships with our retail customers.
Responsibilities
+ Process customer credits and rebates.
+ Perform cash applications efficiently.
+ Download and manage monthly deductions and problem invoices from retail customers.
+ Link, dispute, and reconcile accounts.
+ Collaborate with other accounting staff to match and clear items on the aging report.
+ Analyze and reconcile cash applications for inter-company transactions.
+ Follow up on short-paid invoices for retail customers.
+ Work closely with sales and customer service to resolve service-related issues.
+ Ensure all deductions are followed through until they are closed, either by payment or non-payment, and posted to aging.
+ Analyze repayment on retail charge-back items.
+ Compare deductions with fill rate data to identify potential areas of improvement.
+ Identify and communicate problematic trends related to payment refusals to the appropriate departments.
+ Perform various analyses as requested by management.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with credit memos and accounts receivable processes.
+ Strong background in accounting and clerical tasks.
+ Experience with invoicing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable or as an accounting clerk.
+ Experience working with credit memos is required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
