Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Broken Arrow, OK Schedule: Onsite | Monday – Friday Accounts Receivable Specialist Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the full cycle of accounts receivable, including the receipt and accounting of all funds paid to the organization. This role involves tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues, maintaining the collections process daily, and applying customer payments to the correct accounts. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will generate and maintain accurate aging reports while working to collect past-due balances. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent communication and time-management skills, and a willingness to adapt to change. Essential Job Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential job duty satisfactorily. The employees’ competence in performing their job duties will be demonstrated, maintained, and improved on an ongoing basis. + Apply customer payments + Researching and solving payment discrepancies + Maintains an accurate aging report. Makes daily collection call + Send statements to customers with past due balances + Adjust accounts as needed + Prepares daily manual and electronic (ACH/EFT) deposits + Processes new account requests as well as new sites maintaining a standard set format + Maintains AR activity using service calls when issues are found + Willingness to adapt to change and recommend new ways to improve efficiency Critical/Core Competencies: + Financial Management + Good communication skills + Attention to Detail + Time management + Soft skills such as EI (emotional intelligence) competencies are an integral part of personal performance. These competencies include: + Teamwork and Collaboration, Self-Control, Influence, Self-Awareness, Optimism, Adaptability, Organizational awareness, Change Catalyst, Initiative Minimum Job Requirements: + Education: + High school diploma or equivalent experience. + 2 yrs. of college preferred or equivalent work experience + Experience, Training, Knowledge: + 4+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in related field preferred + Proficient in collections processes + Office Equipment and/or software knowledge: + Proficient with Microsoft Office 365– Outlook, Excel and Word + SAP B1, or similar ERP Software Expectations: + Demonstrates a complete and thorough understanding of local company and corporate policies, strategies, values, our quality system (SQS), and associate handbook + Ability to provide clear and concise answers to questions + Prioritizes well and can effectively handle obstacles and opportunities in a professional manner + Foster and cultivate the client brand + Teamwork and collaboration Work Environment: Expected Hours of Work: + This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. + Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physical Demands: + The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. + This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
