Job Title: Accounts Receivable Lead Location: Houston, TX (77040) Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $65000 - $75000 annually Contractor Work Model: Onsite Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Team Size: Manages 3–4 direct reports Industry Software: FieldRoutes About Us Fast-growing residential pest control provider with a reputation for delivering effective, safe, and eco-friendly services across Texas and Oklahoma is looking for an experienced AR Lead to join the team! Position Overview We are seeking a results-driven Accounts Receivable Lead to own and optimize the full AR function, with a heavy emphasis on collections. This is a newly created, high-impact role that will support business growth by ensuring timely, accurate collections and maintaining a strong cash position across our six locations. This individual will report directly to the CFO and lead a small but capable AR team, driving improvements in billing, cash applications, and collections while enhancing customer communication and internal collaboration. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Oversight + Manage day-to-day AR activities across multiple branches + Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment posting + Lead efforts to reduce aging and delinquency rates Collections & Cash Management + Take ownership of collections across customer accounts + Work directly with customers to resolve payment issues and billing disputes + Collaborate with service and customer support teams to ensure billing accuracy Reporting & Compliance + Prepare AR aging reports and collection KPIs for leadership + Support month-end closings and year-end audits + Ensure AR processes comply with GAAP and company policies Team Leadership + Supervise and mentor 3–4 AR team members + Provide training, support, and performance oversight + Foster a proactive and accountable team environment Process Improvement + Identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency + Recommend system and workflow improvements + Stay up-to-date on tax/billing regulations across TX and OK Required Qualifications + 5+ years of AR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role + Expertise in collections, billing, and cash application + Strong knowledge of AR best practices and GAAP + Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
