Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will monitor accounts receivable aging and customer accounts to minimize past due accounts, maintain relationships, and perform revenue and trend analysis.
Responsibilities
Monitor accounts receivable aging and customer accounts to minimize past due accounts.Contact customers to follow up on account status and past due balances, and make detailed notes in the database.Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.Initiate collection calls, emails, faxes, and letters.Perform customer revenue and accounts receivable trend analysis.Identify bad debts for management review.Assist in bank reporting and compliance related to accounts receivable.Cross-train with all other corporate finance functions.Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounts receivable and collections.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.High volume and high dollar dispute resolution.Data and credit analysis abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree or at least four years of industry-related collections experience.Experience in accounts receivable is required.Direct Store Delivery or Route Accounting experience is a plus.Experience with ERP systems like High Radius and S4, including daily balancing and database management.Good understanding of payment, invoicing, and AR reporting processes.Excellent communication skills.Ability to analyze customer aging reports to minimize delinquencies and identify risk.Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.Well-organized and self-directed with minimal oversight.Displays leadership potential and advanced problem-solving skills.Experience with customer relations or customer service.Proven track record in collections, including negotiations to secure payment.Accounting and/or bookkeeping experience is a plus.Work Environment
The role has a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day work from home) from Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm. The office features an open concept with low-walled cubicles, and the manager sits alongside the team. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
