Accounts Receivable Clerk/Assistant Office Manager
Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk/Assistant Office Manager to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, overseeing billing functions, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while leveraging your expertise in construction-related accounting and office management. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable tasks, including posting payments and reconciling accounts. • Conduct commercial collections and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely resolution. • Apply cash accurately and efficiently to customer accounts while addressing discrepancies. • Handle billing functions, including preparing invoices and verifying work-in-progress (WIP) details. • Utilize Spectrum software to manage accounting and office processes effectively. • Research discrepancies in financial records and provide solutions to resolve issues. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and financial documentation. • Maintain organized records of transactions and support office management duties. • Generate reports using Microsoft Excel to track account performance and financial data. • Assist with office management responsibilities, contributing to a smooth and efficient workplace. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and office management. • Proficiency in cash applications, billing, and commercial collections. • Familiarity with construction accounting practices, including work-in-progress (WIP) tracking. • Experience using Spectrum software for accounting and office management tasks. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and resolve issues. • Excellent organizational and communication abilities to collaborate with team members. • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in financial processes.
