Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounts receivable tasks, including managing customer payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting monthly financial processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of the organization’s financial operations. Responsibilities: • Process and record customer payments promptly and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers, cash balances, and related reports. • Follow established accounts receivable policies and procedures while adhering to internal and external controls. • Identify and address problem accounts through follow-up correspondence and communication. • Review outstanding account balances regularly, highlighting overdue accounts for action. • Monitor credit files, customer applications, and delinquent accounts to ensure proper evaluation. • Resolve customer deductions and credits efficiently while maintaining positive relationships. • Assist with paperwork and reporting for colleagues, including project managers. • File sales and use tax for multiple states accurately and in a timely manner. • Support monthly closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling bank accounts. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles. • Proficiency in account reconciliation and cash applications. • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections. • Experience with commercial collections and resolving customer credits and deductions. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis. • Familiarity with Epicor ERP or similar accounting software. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
