Accounts Receivable Associate
Job Description
+ Accurately input facility-related payables into the accounting system.
+ Prepare and submit Medicaid, private payer, and patient claims in compliance with payer guidelines and organizational policies.
+ Assist in generating monthly billing and accounts receivable reports.
+ Maintain detailed and accurate analysis reports for Medicaid and private payer accounts.
+ Prepare remittance documents from Medicaid, private payers, and patients for data entry.
+ Notify management of any missing or delayed documentation required for billing.
+ Monitor outstanding accounts, resubmit claims as needed, and escalate significantly overdue accounts to management.
+ Foster positive working relationships with patients, payers, and facility staff.
+ Provide timely reports and relevant information to accounting management personnel.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in accounting.
+ Proficient in Excel and Word.
+ Familiarity with Medicaid and private payer billing processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years of billing/AR experience within a healthcare company.
+ Hospice billing experience would be a plus.
+ Understanding of the full revenue work cycle.
+ Knowledge of how to post a remit and work denials and eligibility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.00/hr.
