Role Overview:
The Cash Application / Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, accurately applying cash to customer accounts, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting the overall accounts receivable process. This role ensures the timely and accurate recording of payments to maintain strong financial records and positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) to customer accounts in the ERP system.Research and resolve payment discrepancies or unidentified payments.Reconcile daily cash receipts with bank deposits and accounting records.Communicate with customers or internal teams regarding payment remittance details.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to AR.Support audits and provide documentation as required.\Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve account issues.Recommend improvements to processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.What We’re Looking For:
Education: University degree in a relevant field.Language Skills: Fluency in EnglishOrganizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage expectations.Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy.Independence: Capability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.Communication: Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally within the organization.Technical Skills: A solid mathematical foundation; experience in banking operations (e.g., cash applications, bank reconciliations, payment processing) is a plus.Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP)Excellent attention to detail, organization and analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Benefits:
