Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee the accounts payable operations within our organization in Calabasas, California. This role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and optimizing processes to achieve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and integrity. Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise the accounts payable team, including training, evaluating performance, and assigning tasks to ensure department goals are met. • Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, coding, payment approvals, and execution of payments. • Manage vendor relationships by verifying existing vendor information and approving new vendor setups. • Develop and implement internal controls and policies to safeguard against fraud and ensure compliance with financial regulations. • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports to provide accurate financial data to management. • Monitor cash flow, including tracking cash positions, forecasting, and managing foreign currency funding requirements. • Identify and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation within accounts payable operations. • Coordinate month-end and year-end activities, such as reconciliations and accruals, to ensure timely financial closing. • Support external audits by providing required documentation and financial information. • Assist with payment processing tasks, ensuring dual controls are followed to maintain financial security. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum of five years of experience in accounts payable or related financial operations. • Proven supervisory experience, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management. • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced knowledge of Excel. • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including coding invoices, ACH payments, and check runs. • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to create and interpret financial reports. • Ability to develop and enforce financial policies and internal controls. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing team dynamics and vendor relations.
