Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead/Supervisor to oversee and enhance the accounts payable processes for our team in Waco, Texas. In this role, you will take charge of ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, managing the AP inbox, and providing strong leadership to support the department’s success. This is an onsite position where your expertise in accounts payable operations will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficiency and precision. Responsibilities: • Supervise and guide accounts payable team members to ensure smooth daily operations. • Review and verify the accuracy of invoices, coding, and payment processes to catch and correct any discrepancies. • Manage the accounts payable inbox and ensure timely responses to queries and issues. • Oversee invoice processing, including coding invoices and handling discrepancies. • Conduct check runs and manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments to ensure timely disbursements. • Implement and maintain best practices for accounts payable operations. • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering growth and development. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial workflows. • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial operations. • Proven experience in identifying and correcting errors in accounts payable processes. • Previous leadership experience, including managing or supervising a team. • Proficiency in coding invoices and handling invoice discrepancies. • Familiarity with check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursement methods. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable systems and tools, such as Paylocity. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work onsite in Waco, Texas, and collaborate effectively with team members.
