Accounts Payable Supervisor for Manufacturing Company
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our accounts payable, purchasing, and travel program initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of managing a best practices environment, improving processes, and utilizing technology to support our company's growth, all while maintaining internal controls.
Responsibilities
Manage a best practices environment for accounts payable and purchasing, ensuring timely payments and accuracy of financial records.Administer accounts payable, purchasing, and travel policies, and implement improvements to align with industry standards.Serve as the main point of contact with the Travel Management Company to maintain satisfactory service levels.Oversee the vendor master process, including new vendor setup, verification of federal ID numbers, and updates to vendor information.Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding sales and use tax liabilities, reporting, and payments.Administer the company's credit card programs.Oversee employee travel and expense report submissions for compliance with company policies.Direct the preparation, reporting, and distribution of 1099 forms.Lead process improvements and efficiencies, and assist in developing work instructions.Supervise month-end processes for the accounts payable team, including billable reporting and financial reporting of specific expenses.Supervise the Accounts Payable staff and assist in interim and annual audits.Provide superior customer service to associates and business partners by responding promptly to communications.Supervise training on the company's payables software and assist with HR/Payroll software training.Collaborate with business partners to ensure data accuracy and technology compliance.Handle miscellaneous tasks such as software upgrades and acquisitions.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/training.Professional Certification in Accounts Payable is a plus.3+ years of experience in accounts payable, purchasing, and/or travel processing.Experience with general ledger accounting, including month-end closing processes.Ability to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Exceptional Excel skills and aptitude in integrated and automated systems.Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work effectively in a high-growth and rapidly changing environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Our work environment is laid-back, fun, and light, with a small in-office team and remote colleagues. We conduct video calls three times a week to foster connection. Our state-of-the-art building, built in 2020, provides a beautiful workspace. We work closely with the Accounting Director and maintain a collaborative atmosphere. The team is in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
