Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee daily AP operations and ensure efficient financial processes within our organization. This hands-on role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing high-volume transactions, maintaining compliance, and fostering positive relationships with vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will bring advanced system expertise and a collaborative approach to streamline processes and drive improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.
• Post journal entries related to accounts payable and assist with month-end close activities.
• Prepare and review pre-close reports, including aging reports and payment schedules.
• Approve complex and high-value payments in line with established internal controls.
• Oversee the processing and approval of expense reports, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, resolving discrepancies and inquiries promptly.
• Verify vendor records for accuracy and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with the Treasury team, including bilingual cross-border coordination.
• Support one direct report with day-to-day guidance and performance management. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, including leadership or supervisory roles.
• Proficiency in large ERP systems such as SAP; familiarity with other systems is also welcome.
• Advanced Excel skills, including comfort with reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience managing AP processes during month-end close periods.
• Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, tax documentation, and internal controls.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred for cross-border collaboration.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle high-volume and complex transactions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
