Accounts Payable Supervisor-Carmel, IN (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will provide support and assist the supervising efforts within AP shared service and associated support functions. The goal is to positively impact results and to create a sustainable problem-solving culture by establishing and improving work systems with Lean Thinking and Digital Solutions. The candidate will provide support in managing Allegion Americas Accounts Payable in annual disbursements in excess of $750M. Key responsibilities include projects and support acquisitions, resolution of payment issues, and month end close process. This individual must build effective customer relationships and collaborate with internal and external business partners.
Position requires an innovative thinker and eager to play a crucial role in the transformation of accounts payable function as we migrate ERP platforms. This individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment where the ability to prioritize is key and teamwork is a must.
What You Will Do:
Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating accounts payable staff members while building engagement.
Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed
accurately and on time.
Analyze monthly throughput of invoice handling with our third-party invoice processor to improve efficiency
Leading / managing the AP Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) & transformation efforts
Drive productivity and standardization across the business
Lead department efforts to formally problem-solve utilizing lean methodologies
Lead month end close process and analyzing A/P Metrics
Accounts Payable process owner for Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) and External Audit Partners
Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
Assist accounts payable integration of newly acquired US business units Partner on the Escheatment process and filings and partner with 3rd party unclaimed property specialist.
Responsible for the accurate preparation of financial information into the general ledgers.
Review and investigate the cause of rejected disbursements
Assist in review of bank change requests from suppliers
Prepare monthly account reconciliation of GL/subledger reports

What You Need to Succeed:
BS in Finance, Accounting, or other related Business degree
Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in AP, accounting and/or finance
Supervisory/management experience or significant project management experience preferred.
Understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
Awareness of digital solutions and its functions
Experience with month end close process and accounts payable accruals
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with team personnel, plants, functional departments and vendors
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while functioning in a fast pace, high volume, environment.
Must be detail oriented and organized
Demonstrated track record of process improvements
