The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and mentoring the accounts payable team. This role involves overseeing the full cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payment requests, and maintaining accurate vendor records. The supervisor will also be tasked with developing process improvements and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, including assigning tasks and conducting performance evaluations.
+ Oversee the full cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing and payment execution.
+ Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and other payment requests.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.
+ Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
+ Prepare and process electronic payments and checks in accordance with company policies.
+ Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
+ Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
+ Respond to vendor inquiries and internal requests professionally and timely.
+ Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in supervising or lead-level roles
+ Familiarity with high volume invoicing (100-200+ per day)
Work Environment
The role will be based at the St. Louis Park office, overseeing two team members onsite. The work environment balances focused, heads-down periods with a conversational atmosphere. The supervisor should excel in managing high volume invoicing and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal employees. Patience is crucial, as some vendors may repeatedly make the same mistakes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr.
