Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a strong experience in accounts payable, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a structured, distraction-free environment.
Responsibilities
Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.Communicate professionally with vendors via phone and email to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel, for daily tasks.Work within Premier software to manage accounts payable functions.Support the AP Manager and P2P Manager with day-to-day operations.Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.Contribute to a collaborative and accountable team environment.Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in high-volume accounts payable processing.Strong communication skills and professional phone/email etiquette.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.Experience with large ERP systems, Premier software preferred.Ability to work independently and stay focused in a structured, distraction-free environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with accounts payable, invoice processing, and vendor relationship management.Familiarity with accounting and data entry tasks.Knowledge of three-way matching.Work Environment
This is a fully on-site role with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. After 4–6 months of demonstrated independence, flexible shift options may be available, such as 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Parking is provided at no cost.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
