The Accounts Payable Specialist will be an integral part of the accounting operations team, reporting directly to the Lead of Accounting Operations. This role involves processing accounts payable invoices, recording month-end accruals, responding to vendor inquiries, and managing vendor payments. The specialist is expected to work independently while maintaining open communication with the team to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in setting up new vendors by obtaining vendor information and completing appropriate verification.Process accounts payable invoices, including general ledger coding.Analyze accounts payable invoices and record month-end accruals.Process timely and accurate payments to vendors.Complete reconciliations related to accounts payable accounts.Perform analytical analysis on key balance sheet and income statement accounts.Respond to vendor inquiries and ensure vendor requests and payments are made timely.Support the accounting operations team with internal and external audit requests.Provide support for the 1099 process to ensure vendor information and reportable income is reported accurately.Participate in other ad hoc analysis and accounting projects as needed.Essential SkillsStrong hands-on experience with COUPA.Experience with NetSuite is required.Proficiency in accounts payable and invoice processing.Ability to perform GL coding and reconciliations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with purchase orders and reconciliation.Ability to perform analytical analysis on financial accounts.Work EnvironmentThis position is a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days in the office per week. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
