Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor accounts and ensuring timely and accurate payment processing. You will play a critical role in maintaining vendor relationships and supporting our transition to a new ERP system.

ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain vendor account records in the accounting system.Perform follow-up activities with vendors and internal teams regarding outstanding invoices and account issues via phone and email.Monitor customer portals for new invoice submissions, payment updates, or required documentation.Maintain and archive accurate documentation of communication and resolution efforts for audit purposes.Essential SkillsExperience in collections, accounts payable, payment processing, account verification, banking, invoices, data entry, and purchase order management.Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze account data.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.Experience with accounting or ERP systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting, supporting a team of over 10 full-time employees who are transitioning to a new ERP system. The company has a total of 130 employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Colwich, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
