Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage full-cycle accounts payable processes efficiently. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring accurate financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice coding, approvals, and payments. • Perform regular check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions to ensure timely payment. • Set up and maintain vendor accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies. • Process AP accruals to accurately reflect expenses in financial statements. • Handle W-9 and 1099 documentation to meet tax reporting requirements. • Reconcile accounts payable records with general ledger accounts. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting. • Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and vendor correspondence. • Support audits by providing documentation and clarifying discrepancies as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, with a strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes. • Proficiency in coding invoices and account coding. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs. • Knowledge of vendor setup and maintenance procedures. • Experience with AP accruals and tax documentation, including W-9 and 1099 processing. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
