Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist works closely with vendors and Life Time  personnel resolving issues with invoices to ensure timely and correct payment.  They provide general support duties that can include data entry, payment generation, vendor relations, statement reconciliation and training.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responds to inquiries from internal and external customers concerning invoice statusInvestigates issues with invoices providing resolution for payment schedulingMaintains a queue of invoices within department standards and statement reconciliationCompiles and reviews trends concerning problem invoices and partners with management to find solutionsCoaches internal and external customers on proper proceduresData EntryAssists with the month-end close processServes as backup to Life Time AP SupportPerforms other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Associate Degree Required - equivalent and relevant experience in place of degree acceptable2 years of related work experience in a fast paced Accounts Payable Department utilizing integrated systemsExcellent customer service skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to effectively multi-task with tight deadlines independently and within a team environmentAbility to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and recommend solutionsAbility to follow-through on deliverables and pay attention to details in the midst of multiple projects and deadlines

Knowledge of standard office procedures and Excel softwareAbility to be flexible and adapt easilyAbility to handle conflicts in a professional, tactful manner.

PayThis is an hourly position with wages starting at $18.43 and pays up to $21.20, based on experience and qualifications.
