Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurately scanning, coding, and keying invoices. This role requires effective time management to ensure transactions are recorded both timely and accurately. The specialist will follow and document processes and procedures, work across departments to resolve transaction issues, provide consistent and accurate data, and reconcile accounts. Responsibilities + Accurately scan, code, and key invoices. + Manage time effectively to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions. + Follow and document processes and procedures. + Collaborate with various departments to resolve transaction-related issues. + Provide consistently accurate data. + Reconcile accounts regularly. Essential Skills + Experience in accounts payable and invoice processing. + Proficiency in reconciliation. + Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. + Data entry proficiency. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent. + 1-3 years of applicable experience as an accounting professional. + Ability to read, write, and solve basic math problems. + Knowledge of Microsoft Word. + Understanding of accounting principles. Work Environment The team primarily works in the office for five days a week, with some flexibility for remote work. Sr. team members have the option to work from home once a week. The environment is flexible, but employees are generally expected to be present in the office. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
