Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary:  Trident is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the business by providing a variety of specialized services within Accounts Payable and by ensuring accurate and timely invoice and payment processing. The ideal candidate is motivated, curious, results-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

Reviews, verifies, and troubleshoots all incoming invoices as assigned Posts invoices as assigned including 3-way match Responds to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Assists in month-end closing activities Ensures compliance to corporate policy and department procedures Maintains files and documentation in accordance with invoice/payment guidelines and generally accepted accounting practices.  Maintains internal controls as required per company policy Maintains a high level of productivity Participate in or manage assigned special projects Collaborates with peers, leaders and business partners to ensure a successful outcome in all assignments 

Additional Responsibilities:   

Other responsibilities, as assigned  Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions   Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings 

This is a non-exempt position with a hourly pay rate range of $27 to $34 per hour.
