Description The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, reconciling statements, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle a high volume of transactions efficiently. Key Responsibilities: + Review, code, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and procedures. + Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and maintain accurate records and control reports. + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. + Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly payment runs (check, ACH, wire). + Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9 and tax information. + Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. + Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate effectively to resolve issues. + Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper approvals and documentation. + Assist with audit requests and support compliance with internal controls. + Identify opportunities for process improvements in AP operations. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. + 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. + Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks). + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. + Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
