Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rockaway, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payment processes, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities: • Process and review vendor invoices to ensure alignment with purchase orders and delivery receipts. • Prepare and issue payments to vendors, including checks, electronic transfers, and other methods. • Communicate with vendors to address and resolve payment-related inquiries or discrepancies. • Reconcile accounts payable activities with the general ledger to ensure accuracy. • Assist in month-end closing processes and provide detailed reports as needed. • Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all accounts payable transactions. • Collaborate with various departments to resolve billing issues and discrepancies efficiently. Requirements • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. • Proficiency in accounting systems and tools, including Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach. • Familiarity with invoice coding and payment processing procedures.
