Job Description:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial documentation and vendor relationships for our company. You will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and collaborating with various departments to maintain accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
+ Review, verify, and process all purchase order and non-purchase order invoices for appropriate documentation and approval in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
+ Monitor and process vendor RMA against vendor credits and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
+ Enter and upload invoices into the accounts payable folder and attach to NetSuite.
+ Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, perform check runs, and handle outgoing payments.
+ Reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies promptly, and maintain vendor relationships.
+ Process new vendor requests and monitor the general accounts payable inbox.
+ Maintain accurate historical records of all accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities.
+ Collaborate closely with purchasing, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate coding and processing of invoices.
+ Assist with internal audits by providing documentation and information as requested.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards and assist in audits.
Qualifications:
+ Experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor management.
+ 6+ months of accounting experience, preferably in a mid-size company.
+ Prior ERP experience.
+ High School Diploma required.
+ Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
+ Knowledge of NetSuite is a bonus.
Work Environment:
The company is located in Minnetonka, MN, and offers a hybrid work environment with four days in the office and one day of remote work, which you can choose. The accounting team is small, fostering a family-like atmosphere. The role is designed to cover for an AP employee on maternity leave, starting mid-late January to overlap with her before her leave in early March. The company has a rich history since 1975 and is known for its supportive work culture.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
